what would be good special abilities for these dragons? They’re part human…?
I’m writing a story and I need super natural powers for these characters that are in a family – of dragons. They all have blue eyes as dragons but different color eyes as humans
Ones I already have –
Nicholas: Mixes of Gifts – he’s a variety of different of creatures – blue eyes
Caron: Healer
Alexander: Predictor of Future
These are the ones I need help with:
Penelope – unnatural, big orange hair. Sweet and kind as a dragon – bitter and dark as a human form purple dragon – green eyes – purple dragon
Nisel – messy, scruffy light hair and black eyes quiet, mysterious, but once you get to know him, the most kind person in the world black dragon
Opal – ice dragon, only one left, silver eyes as human form shy, skittish opposite of Nick and mortal enemies pf him new to the family has been frozen for more than three centuries

Nice idea!
Here’s a couple of ideas:
Penelope sounds like an empath to me. That is, she could instantly figure out “where a person is coming from,” and understand their points of view. Empathy also might mean that she can feel emotions, and therefore, glean the intent of a stranger before they even speak.
Nisel sounds like a quintessential laconic jokester…maybe he could become invisible. (the better to get the drop on folks and, sometimes, scare them for laughs.)
Opal…as an ice dragon, perhaps it can affect temperatures. Or maybe it can be a chameleon–the better to hide on the hunt, as arctic regions tend to either be pure white, a deep blue (glaciers) or the gray of bare rock.
